Not so many photos from this part of the trip because it was mostly freeway miles and mostly rainy, but here goes a little bit …
Today was a mellow day in one of my favorite places. I walked around town and the parks along the shore. And that was it.
Good news: Northern California is getting some much needed rain today.
Bad news: I wound up with two hours of dark, wet driving on windy roads at the end of the day.
After a few days with friends in Arizona, it’s now time to head back.
I just got back from a day trip to Tucson to visit longtime friend and fellow photographer Peter Hawkins.

A long day on the road today, but I do love a long day driving through the desert …
Today, I drove a slice through northeastern California and made a few fun infrared photos.
Mile 489. End of Day 1. I started the trip by pounding down the mostly familiar miles today so that I can have more time for unfamiliar miles and pictures tomorrow. 🙂
I’m back in Cologne for the last night of my European tour for this year.
I added Luxembourg to my list of countries visited and found it absolutely charming.
Today I started some travels of my own before heading home.
Tschüß, Hamburg! It’s been a great week and a half working with the team here. Looking forward to a few days of travel and exploring on my own and then back to family and home!
Because I’m a Seattle boy, I just had to try taking the ferry to the office today.
Hamburg food truck: “Fast Driving. Slow Food.” 😊
Ach, Hamburg. So nice of you to lay out the welcome mat for this Seattle boy.
I’m headed to Hamburg, Germany, for a week of meetings at our offices there, and then having some fun while I’m in the neighborhood.
