We are staying again in Salinas. What to do with the day in between? Do we go east or do we go west? A coin toss decided it and we explored the coast to the east of us.
Our first stop along the way was the cultural center of Guayama. We visited the main square and enjoyed some of the classical architecture nearby.
Sadly, the Casa Museo Historia y Arte de Guayama was closed at the time we visited, but we captured a few photos of its intricate decór from the outside:
After Guayama, we drove a couple hours farther up the coast and found the coastal village of Húcares.
Along the coast we found the ruins of what must have been an elegant mansion in its time. It’s now a canvas for many graffiti artists.
