Southeastern US Days 12 and 13: To Hilton Head Island

We left Charleston for points farther south along the coast. We’re spending a couple of nights in Hilton Head Island, before embarking on some separate journeys for a little while.

Lisa will be staying here for the weekend, spending some quality time with a close friend who lives here in South Carolina, and I will be doing some fun solo exploration. (I look forward to sharing details over the weekend!)

As we were preparing to leave Charleston yesterday, I stopped at this coffee shop …

There’s not a lot for me to say about Hilton Head Island. It’s every bit the upscale resort community that you might imagine it to be. I was working, so didn’t make a lot of time for photos, but here are a few from some walks along the nearby beach:
