California Part 3: A Beach Walk and Back to Home

21 April 2024 1511 km / 939 mi (map)

Our time in California is over. This morning, I went for an early morning walk through Mendocino Headlands State Park.

Rugged, moss-topped rocky headlands and sea stacks flanking a calm cove of blue-green ocean water, with a small natural rock arch on the left promontory, under a clear blue morning sky at Mendocino Headlands State Park.

It was a few hours back to the city and the airport. I had the window seat and got a nice view of the Three Sisters mountains in Oregon on our way home.

View from an airplane window of a gray wing with an upturned blue winglet, above a hazy blue sky and, far below, a cluster of snow-capped volcanic peaks rising over a forested landscape.
