After the Christmas festivities were over, I took a few days to go wandering and exploring the winter landscape in the central and east part of my home state.
We hiked the Northrup Canyon Trail in eastern Washington today. Here are a few of the fun desert- and cliff-scapes we observed.
We had spent the last month or so in Minnesota with a close friend who had recently received a terminal cancer diagnosis.
Our car was in Minnesota; my wife and daughter opted to fly back to Seattle.
So … what to do but take one for the team and road-trip home?
