The idea was to drive from Red Lodge to West Yellowstone. Mission accomplished, but maybe not quite the way that was originally planned.
I knew I was risking it to try to follow Highway 212 to its end. Here is where that plan came to an end:
Instead I backtracked to Red Lodge, looped around to the south of Yellowstone and came in through the southeast entrance to the park.
I imagine this sign once had more to say, but nowadays, a simple “No” apparently suffices:
