South Africa and Lesotho Day 13: On Our Way Home

7 March 2026 10,143 km / 6,302 mi (map)

Alas, all good things must come to an end. Today we took the first of two flights that will bring us home. It’s 12 hours from Cape Town to Paris. We were treated to views of the Namib Desert, the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, and another plane flying beneath us in southwestern France.

Tomorrow’s flight will bring us home to Seattle. We have comfortable seats, but without a window, so there will be no travel post for that flight.

Thank you for following along. I hope you’ve enjoyed this little slice of South Africa. We certainly did and we are eager for our return.
