This afternoon, we were invited on a tour of the Alappuzha Backwaters. This looks like a quiet and laid-back lifestyle along the waters. True or not, we enjoyed the glimpse of a culture where the water is a primary highway.

We were on a traditional Kerala houseboat. You’ll see some photos of similar houseboats along the way.
